OUR COMMUNITY MATTERS

Serving others and our community is an important part of our DNA. We have the opportunity to partner with several non-profits in the Michiana area.

ST MARK COMMUNITY PARTNERS

  • SALT MINISTRY

The St. Mark SALT program pairs each child with a mentor who helps them make positive choices grounded in biblical truths. Our SALT mentors consist of caring Christian teens and adults committed to uplifting and supporting your child. Our church fosters a welcoming and safe environment where children can enjoy games, forge new friendships, complete their homework, and spend quality time with their mentors. We promote regular attendance and positive behavior, rewarding children with exciting prizes! Additionally, we provide an after-school snack and dinner before children head home, and transportation can be arranged to and from St. Mark for every child. The program meets once a week throughout the school year.

  • CULTIVATE FOOD RESCUE

Cultivate rescues over one million pounds of food annually by preparing, packaging, freezing, and distributing meals to those in need, rather than allowing our neighbors to go hungry. In just a few hours, you can contribute to the creation of several hundred nutritious and quick meals made from high-quality ingredients for children in our community. As a volunteer, you may engage in various activities, including bagging meals, printing and applying labels, packing food into individual trays, and assisting with cleanup, among others.

  • HOPE MINISTRIES

Hope Ministries in South Bend provides free meals and transitional housing for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness or at risk of it in the Michiana community. There are numerous opportunities to support this ministry and make a difference. You can serve a meal, donate essential items, or even volunteer at Camp Hope during the summer!
